FORTHCOMING EVE EDUCATES EVENT
Write Your Own Novel - round 2
eve educates and Penguin are proud to annouce the exclusive event - eve educates - Write Your Own Novel - where budding novelists can pick up all the advice and inspiration they need to write their first novel and get it published.
Sadly this event, which takes place on Saturday 10 November, is has now sold out, but click here to register to join the eve educates network to be informed of any new events.
The event
One brilliant guest speaker, one extremely successful London publishing company, one swanky London venue, and 100 very happy customers: this was the final tally at the end of our first eve educates ‘Write your own novel’ event earlier this year. And, back by popular demand – last time around, the exclusive 100 places sold out in a day – we’re hosting a second workshop for budding novelists this November.
Be inspired
Take inspiration from our guest speaker on the day, Sinéad Moriarty. With her fourth novel, In My Sister’s Shoes, out in January, the successful novelist will be offering you a personal insight into what it takes to knuckle down and pen that first novel.
Pick up expert tips
Top publishing company Penguin will be sharing their expertise on everything from what they look for in a manuscript to the publishing process itself. Plus, Penguin editors will run the afternoon session, with a variety of exercises designed to boost creativity and help you find a fresh approach to writing.
Meet guest speaker Sinéad Moriarty
An inspiration for multitasking women everywhere, Sinéad Moriarty started her literary career writing in stolen moments – after work, at lunchtime – whatever chance she got. The former marketing executive joined a creative writing group and began her first novel, The Baby Trail. Two follow-up novels later, this January, In My Sister’s Shoes brings a new cast of characters. Sinéad’s fourth novel follows 30-year-old singleton Kate O’Brien, who finds herself leaving London to step into her sister Fiona’s shoes in Dublin, juggling family life and an ex she’d thought she was over. Sinéad now lives in Dublin, with her husband and two young sons.
