On screen she’s a feisty fashionista but, as Sarah Jessica Parker exclusively admits to eve, real life is more about ‘mum’ clothes and miracle wrinkle creams. Tiffany Rose meets her to talk Botox, babies and, of course, Big!

I meet Sarah Jessica Parker at the swanky Ritz-Carlton hotel overlooking Central Park, in – where else but – Manhattan. With long flowing honey-blonde hair and chiselled bone structure to die for, she glides into the room and it’s a real challenge not to call her Carrie.

Dressed in a charcoal grey Halston jacket – making her cobalt-blue eyes pop – teamed with a Versace taupe silk tunic dress and grey T-bar Brian Atwood shoes, Sarah Jessica is the epitome of chic. To complete the look, a Fendi clutch rests on the nearby coffee table, though it’s next to a steaming lemon tea rather than a Cosmopolitan. ‘None of it’s mine,’ she says of her outfit with a smile. ‘It all goes back tomorrow.’ How Maxim magazine named her ‘unsexiest woman in the world’ I’ll never understand (Sarah Jessica herself admitted to being hurt by the accusation, saying it was ‘kind of shocking’).

She’s been married to actor Matthew Broderick for 11 years, and the couple have a five-year-old son, James Wilkie, who Sarah Jessica, 43, describes as ‘my world’. She had to cancel the interview yesterday, because he was unwell. ‘He threw up every 40 minutes throughout the night and my husband was out of town, so it was just me and my boy.’ But even that doesn’t faze her. Incredibly she smiles and says, ‘I was thinking, “Oh my God, this is such a privilege. He’s my boy and he’s throwing up all over me.”’

Away from her domesticated world, Sarah Jessica is currently facing one of the biggest challenges of her career. After years of rumours and negotiations, she’s bringing Carrie and the now forty-something gang to the big screen for Sex And The City: The Movie.
